Facilities
Passionate, personal, paradise
7 Elevated rooms
Rhino Camp’s emphasis is on providing their guests with creature comforts without losing touch with the natural surroundings. The rooms are elevated wooden platforms with extended thatched roofs. Reed half walls at the sides and back allow for natural ventilation. The open fronts are screened with drop-down reed mats which are opened or closed according to requirements.
The main boma.
At the entrance to the camp is the main boma. This is a central area to meet, eat and relax. The spacious platform is completely open at the sides allowing the breeze from the lake to cool the interior. Downstairs you’ll find an open-air dining/bar area, while upstairs is a comfortable lounge area complete with a selection of games and a small library.
Safari Activities
Situated on the Shoreline of Lake Kariba in Matusdonna National Park, Rhino Camp offers an action-packed safari experience, including game drives, walking safaris, boating safaris, bird watching, lake cruises and fishing.
Why we love Rhino Camp
Rhino Camp, An intimate, traditional bush camp
It's a rustic repose
Built to be enveloped by nature whilst being simple and remaining superbly comfortable, Rhino Safari Camp is a truly rustic repose offering an authentic African safari experience.
The open-air Rooms
The open-fronted chalets have been built like the BaTonga palafitta, (traditional stilted huts on mopane poles), which provides natural ventilation during the summer days making air-conditioning unnecessary.
It's Remote yet connected
While we recommend taking the opportunity to disconnect for a few days and enjoy a digital detox, Rhino Camp has paid Wifi available in the main area and the rooms if you wish to get online.
